neighborhood known as Chelsea. Chelsea, which has become one of the most

sought-after places to live in New York City, buzzes with culture while

maintaining a residential feel, and packs a punch in terms of things to do, see

and eat. With iconic neighbors such as Chelsea Market, Chelsea Piers, the High

Line, and the Whitney Museum of American Art, we are truly proud to call

We Are

Smith & Brit is a beauty and wellness destination

where the collective experience, knowledge, and passion of its founders is used

to help clients look and feel their best. Founders Kristyn Smith and Claire

Beevers are unique in that both of them are beauty therapists (with over forty

years of combined experience) that have worked on countless faces and bodies

internationally. Smith & Brit offer a carefully edited selection of products for

lifestyle and beauty, expert advice, and treatments such as bespoke facials and

reflexology for a complete holistic experience.

Brands

Cloud 9 Skin Solutions

Focuses on developing effective treatments for troublesome skin complaints including eczema, severe dry skin, scarring, acne and cellulite. Cloud 9 never uses any harsh ingredients, parabens or artificial dyes, but instead utilizes an natural and effective blend of botanicals and effective antioxidants in every formulation - this amazing line can be used on all skin types, even sensitive skin, without the risk or irritation.

Margaret Dabbs

A UK based, expert podiatrist who set up her first foot care clinic in 1998 and pioneered the now renowned ‘Medical Pedicure’. Her entire foot care line is sourced from a combination of global, raw ingredients and organic, Australian Emu Oil - this key super ingredient is aboriginal in origin and has been known for its incredible healing properties for thousands of years. The end result is an all natural foot care line that is both luxurious experientially and highly effective on a treatment level giving you healthy, beautiful feet and nails. Haeckels

A natural fragrance and skin care brand. The skin, hair and body products from this UK based line are all made of 100% natural ingredients locally sourced and harvested from the from the English coast and formulated in a cliff top lab in Margate (UK). Haeckels is especially unique in that it holds one of only two licenses in England to harvest seaweed from the English coast. They take great pride in this license and see it as a responsibility to care for the coastline, to clean it and to monitor it just like any farmer in the world. This coast is genuinely unique: built on a giant 14 mile long Jurassic chalk reef which makes up 20% of the UK chalk reefs which means its able to nourish families of seaweed not found anywhere else in the world. Hand harvested Seaweed forms the base ingredient of the entire Haeckels skin care range based on the tradition of Thalassotherapy (derived from the Greek word meaning ‘sea’ or ‘ocean’). Artisan candles are hand-crafted in Chicago and inspired by nature. The Garden + Forest Infusions collection is composed of subtle but aromatic, hand-crafted scents, are completely paraffin-free, and are all made from beeswax, soy wax, and a mixture of essential oils and fine perfumes. The approximate burn time of each bespoke, 6 ounce candle is 45 hours.

Morihata

A Japanese designed range of bath and body products which uses extra-fine charcoal powder (made by grinding up Binchotan, or Japanese white charcoal) as its primary base. This all natural charcoal serves as a water/air-purifying agent that absorbs impurities, draws dirt out of pores, absorb odors and excess oil, is anti-microbial, and improves blood circulation.

Claire Beevers

With over 27 years of experience in the luxury beauty industry in both London and New York , Claire Beevers brings a unique Knowledge originating from her experience on both continents. In the early stage of her career she traveled the world working in spas on luxury cruise liners. Here she was introduced to people from all corners of the globe with very different beauty requirements. As Claire advanced in her career, she managed beauty counters at some of the most prestigious stores in the world, including Harrods, Selfridges, Liberty of London, SpaceNK and Saks 5th Avenue in New York. She has great familiarity with some of the world’s most respected beauty brands including Clarins, Christian Dior and Lancôme. A highly qualified beautician, Claire is also an experienced and talented make-up artist who has worked with high profile clients. Her clients come back to her again and again because of her positive energy and enthusiasm. They also appreciate her vast knowledge of the beauty industry and fundamental understanding of their individual needs. Best of all, Claire has a gift for making all her clients feel special.

Kristyn Smith

Kristyn Smith is a licensed aesthetician with more than 12 years experience in the skincare industry. Her career began when she worked as a makeup artist in London. Although Kristyn enjoyed almost every aspect of the job, she was concerned that makeup was often used to mask skin conditions or to mimic the dewy look of healthy skin. While living in California, Kristyn attended the Paul Mitchell Academy in order to acquire the skills that would help her to promote healthy skin. At the Academy Kristyn learned innovative techniques and created some of her own in order to provide her clients with healthy skin essentials. Working in the offices of plastic surgeons located in both Newport Beach and Beverly Hills, Kristyn was known for her facials, aesthetic medical treatments, and makeup. During this time, Kristyn also had the opportunity to showcase her skills at The St. Regis in San Francisco as well as other high end spas. Throughout her career, Kristyn has had the opportunity to work with more than 200 different skincare and makeup brands. This experience has helped Kristyn to choose and suggest the best skincare regiments and makeup for individual styles, ages, and skin conditions. Her greatest aim with her clients is to reveal and enhance the beautiful skin that has been neglected or lying dormant beneath the surface. Kristyn has treated thousands of women of every demographic and age and truly believes that there is beauty in every face.

Ali Hynes

Ali Hynes started her career working on the beauty and fashion pages of a British national newspaper. Not long after working on these pages, Ali began to focus more on the wellness sector of the beauty industry. This interest eventually led Ali back to the classroom to study Holistic Therapy. This is where she was introduced to Reflexology and its healing powers. Ali instantly connected with this therapy and the philosophy behind it as a way to help achieve good health on every level. After gaining her certification she was employed for four years as Head Reflexologist by the renowned Margaret Dabbs in her clinic in Marylebone, London. Next, Ali sensing it was time for a new adventure, moved to New York. She started her working life in NYC at a beauty boutique in SoHo, where she met brand creators with a real passion for their products and clients who taught her what beauty and wellness meant to them. Inspired by this experience and by meeting Kristyn and Claire at the store, the idea to open a specialty boutique was born. While the plans were developing, Ali was offered an opportunity to join the team of a beauty start up which makes innovative, natural, and effective skincare products. During this time, Ali also continued with her reflexology practice and worked to increase her knowledge of health and wellness.
